So, that was a big week.
I hung up my corporate hat after 13 years. Laptop, lanyard and locker key returned.
My latest book, Big Impact Without Burnout, launched into the world as a best seller.
The Burnout Business officially opened its doors. Back to entrepreneurialism I skip.
And breathe…
So now, another new chapter begins. A moment of courage, integrity and effervescent excitement. I am bubbling with the potential of What’s Next…
This IS scary. Make no mistake about it. Leaving the security of a steady income, a pension, the safe regularity of it all, as well as the prestige of the big job title, is a big decision at any point in life, but especially with solo responsibility for a giant mortgage and four children.
I’m in a Major Risk Zone.
But this is a calculated risk. One fuelled by passion and belief that the work I’m meant to do, with the biggest potential impact, IS what I’m stepping into now. No more side hustling, no more juggling a day job AND a night/weekend job, but finally placing The Burnout Business front and centre. Time to focus on giving in the directions that matter most to me. Time to practice what I preach and what I care most deeply about. Action with integrity.
Over the past 2 decades I have expanded constantly. (As we all do and always are.) I learned how to run a business, run a home, raise and run a family, navigate corporate life, navigate amicable divorce after 26 years, parent four children alone with all the rich emotional variety that demands day in day out, and importantly I learned how to self-manage and thrive throughout.
After a decade of constantly burning out, subscribing to the nonsense myth that having it all meant doing it all, in 2015 I finally cracked the code to enjoying every one of my ambitions with healthy and happy pursuit and sustaining success with grace. I honed the art of graceful productivity.
Did my dreams shrink? Did my KPIs go unachieved? Did I let anyone down? Nope.
People started asking me how I did it.
So I started teaching my methods to ambitious souls.
Initially, groups of women in my living room on Saturday mornings, then full day retreats at home, then working with businesses like Amazon, Google and Snap flying around the world training leadership teams how to succeed without burning out. I wrote a couple of books on the subject and became a Thrive contributor. I certified in healing modalities – Neuro Linguistic Programming, Hypnotherapy, Timeline Therapy, Jungian Archetypes, CTI Executive Coaching and Energy Codes Coaching, and my client practice grew. I began being invited onto global stages to inspire audiences with hope, optimism and pragmatic ways to soar and step out of struggle. And then I got my big publishing deal with Watkins and Penguin Random House. Big Impact Without Burnout was born.
This video marks the magical moment we emotionally celebrated it’s arrival – a cherished night of love, inspiration and joy, for which I’ll be forever grateful.
The book has gained serious traction. Why? Because it speaks to something real. Something raw. Something rising.
We are done with the hustle that hurts. It’s time to create lives and careers that feel powerful and peaceful.
Burnout isn’t just a women’s issue. It’s a people issue. And right now, it’s silently eroding productivity, morale, and mental health inside homes, hearts and companies across the UK and beyond.
That’s why I’ve made it my mission to support individuals and organisations who want to lead with care, compassion, and conscious strategy. That’s why The Burnout Business is now getting all my TLC.
I offer bespoke workshops, coaching, in-house training, and speaking engagements that ensure teams:
- Spot the warning signs of burnout early
- Manage energy, not just time
- Build emotional resilience in high-pressure environments
- Reclaim clarity, creativity, and calm in the chaos
- Make better, braver decisions through self-leadership and self-compassion
Because when you and your people are well, you and your business thrive.
So here’s my invitation to you—if you’re a leader who cares deeply about the humans in your business, I’d love to support you.
Let’s work together to prevent burnout, nurture true wellbeing, and create workplaces that empower people to rise without running on empty.
We can change the culture. One conversation, one workshop, one brave decision at a time.
With strength, energy and purpose,
